West Vancouver Tennis Club

The West Vancouver Tennis Club is an active and social members-only tennis club with year-round tennis located in the heart of West Vancouver. The Club was established in 1925 and started out with only 3 clay courts and fewer than 50 members.  Since then, it has grown to 5 hard-surface lit courts and over 500 members.  In the winter, all 5 courts are covered with a heated bubble.  The Club operates on a not-for-profit basis on leased land from the Municipality of West Vancouver.  It runs under the direction of 9 Board members, a full-time Club Manager, several part time desk clerks and several tennis professionals.  We offer private, semi-private and group lessons to adult members, junior members and junior non-members.

STANS

The Seniors Tennis Association of North Shore or “STANS” is an organization founded in 1988 by local tennis players aged 55+ wanting to gather and play tennis. STANS Directors and Members were the driving force behind a “winter” tennis facility, now a reality known as the North Vancouver Tennis Centre. They paved the way to secure the privileged access we continue to enjoy to public courts at Murdo Frazer, Cloverly and Cates Park in North Vancouver.  With almost 200 active members on the North Shore, STANS Members enjoy scheduled access for drop in play at public courts and discounted access to 6-7 courts, 5 days a week at the North Vancouver Tennis Centre between October and April each year. (P.S., if you are 55 and your spouse is 50+ she/he can also join!). Current Membership Fee is $20.00 per year and Membership automatically includes your membership in the North Vancouver Tennis Society.

North Shore Community Tennis Association

The objective of the North Shore Community Tennis Association (NSCTA) is to promote adult fun and competitive tennis play at regular weekly times at a minimal cost to players. In order to do this, court time has been reserved through the North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission. A modest annual fee provides access to informal drop-in tennis games with good, club supplied, tennis balls at Murdo Frazer Park and Cloverley Park. We play 5 times a week on reserved courts during the outdoor tennis season (April to October). All of our players are friendly and competitive. Drop-in means that you will not feel compelled to attend every session, but you are guaranteed of a good time whenever you do show up!

Deep Cove Tennis Club

Deep Cove Tennis Club is a small community based club that plays at Myrtle Park in Deep Cove. Play starts at the beginning of April and ends at the end of October. Our permitted times on courts 1 & 2 are Tuesdays 5:00 to dusk and Saturdays 9:00 to 1:00. We can use courts 3 & 4 if they are not in use by members of the public. In a normal year we also run some in-house weekend tournaments for which we receive additional permits. In addition we host an annual AGM/BBQ and end of year awards dinner. There is an initiation fee as well as small annual dues. The club provides balls and board members and volunteers organize play.
